Free marketing opportunity for RCS businesses!

Hurry - Friday 2/2 deadline!

If you're looking for additional ways to market your business in 2024, RCS CBA has an opportunity for you. Working in conjunction with Capital Region Independent Media (CRIM), RCS CBA is kicking off a marketing campaign to remind residents to support area businesses. The project will also draw potential visitors and investors to our community.

RCS CBA has been talking about this economic development project for a year now, but we haven't done a very good job of painting a picture of what this campaign will look like now or in the future to secure your support. For years we have watched the very successful Buy In Greene marketing campaign undertaken by our neighbors to the south. This project has driven amazing business, investment and growth in Greene County. We'd like to model this success in RCS to drive similar results.

Of course, we don't have the thousands of dollars Greene County has invested into its success story. What we do have are some very economic development and marketing savvy volunteers at RCS CBA who are willing to undertake this huge endeavor and see where it takes us. CRIM is offering its services at drastically reduced prices to assist us. Can we count on your support?

To get this campaign off the ground, we're working on publishing a hardcopy map of businesses and community resources that we'll make available in Town and Village offices, businesses around the community, the school district and with local realtors. Many copies will go to the businesses in the Port of Coeymans to encourage the hundreds of employees there to come explore our community for lunch, shopping and services.

CRIM and RCS CBA are also working on a website - something like the Buy In Greene's site - to showcase our small town charm, local businesses, non-profits, events and our great residents who make it all happen. We anticipate a launch of this website in March 2024. This site will feature a directory of local businesses with hyperlinks to participating businesses websites or social media.

We will drive traffic to the site and participating businesses through website marketing tools, advertising and a complement of social media channels.

Learn more about it here and sign up to participate in these initiatives! But hurry - we are closing participation in the first printing of this hardcopy map on Friday, Feb. 2! Not to worry, if you miss the Friday deadline you can still sign up for the directory listing on the website and the second printing of the hardcopy map in Fall 2024.

Even better, RCS CBA members get a small, free ad on the printed map and on the website as a benefit of membership. However, other sponsorship opportunities are available and we need committed sponsors to pull this off. RCS CBA sends special thanks to Carver Companies, New Scotland Spirits, C.A. Albright & Sons, RCS Community Library, National Bank of Coxsackie, Mueller's Automotive, Abounding Love Christian Fellowship, Rail to River Brewing, Bank of Greene County, Full Care Painting and Universal Car Wash for their early support of this project through sponsorships. These businesses have purchased larger ads on the map and website and your business can too!

If you have questions about this project please call RCS CBA Vice Chair Rebecca Flach at (518) 526-4057 or email us at rcsbizassoc@gmail.com.

Now's the time for RCS to capitalize on its potential and become the next hot spot in the Hudson Valley. Together, we can make this a reality!
