On January 28, 2026, the RCS Community Business Association welcomed members to our first event of the year at Rail II River Brewing for an evening focused on connection, collaboration and setting priorities for the year ahead.
Members gathered to enjoy food provided by Frese’s Catering, featuring sandwich platters, salad and desserts, followed by introductions and updates on what’s new across our business community.
A highlight of the evening was the official swearing-in of the 2026 Board Members, marking an exciting new chapter for the organization!

2026 Vision & Key Takeaways:
The meeting centered on shared goals aimed at strengthening communication, visibility, and member engagement throughout RCS. Key focus areas for the year include:
Stronger communication with local government, including improved coordination with town and village officials and advocating for local businesses to be informed of upcoming bids and projects
Increased member engagement, with renewed efforts around newsletters, surveys, and opportunities for involvement
Committee development, including expanding Discover RCS, tourism and placemaking initiatives, and economic development efforts
Marketing & visibility initiatives, such as improved exterior signage, a refreshed Discover RCS Map, and the creation of membership cards for outreach
Signature event improvements, including a more cost-effective and impactful She Means Business event scheduled for March 25, 2026, at Red’s
Support for future growth, including youth membership development, a new member welcome packet, and progress toward nonprofit status approval
The energy in the room reflected a shared commitment to collaboration and making 2026 a year of meaningful progress for the RCS business community.
Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed ideas, and continues to support the RCS Community Business Association. We’re excited to turn this vision into action — together.
