RCS CBA seeks volunteers to drive association forward
RCS CBA leadership is going through some changes. With the recent departures of Chairperson Joy Donnelly and Director at Large Judith Wines, former director of the RCS Community Library, the association is in need of more help. If you're passionate about Ravena and Coeymans and want to see even more growth and prosperity here, please consider volunteering with RCS CBA.
A great way to get involved is to serve on a committee or as a Director at Large on the Board. Directors at Large support the association by participating in or chairing committees to advance the organization. You can anticipate a 6 hour monthly commitment as a director at large, which includes participation in our monthly board meetings. If you'd prefer to skip the board meetings and help in a small capacity, our membership and communications committees could also use assistance. The membership committee needs help to secure more new members for the association. The communications committee needs help developing content for this newsletter, our website and social channels. You can anticipate a 4 hour monthly commitment on these committees. RCS CBA has a long-term goal of eventually hiring a director. Until this is possible, however, we need volunteers to keep us moving forward. The board would like to undertake other services for businesses - perhaps an incubator or a micro-loan program or other similar initiative. We'd also like to write grant applications for economic development projects in the community, host an annual golf tournament like we did prior to the pandemic and explore other ways to raise money to secure the future of the organization. We could also do an even better job of sharing about all the great businesses and activities going on in Ravena and Coeymans. We can't do much of this without more talent from people like you! Here's a big shout out to Sydney Kane and Brittany Brunjes of Carver Companies and Jessica Roy of AES for recently offering to help. Thanks to their employers for allowing them to serve RCS CBA! Sydney and Brittany are assisting us with welcoming new members and Jessica is helping with event coordination. Thank you Sydney, Brittany and Jessica!
